C L A Y A R T: clay + art, clay is the material, art is the moulding power.
Cohabitation of earth and art, as practice and theory, allows a special, peculiar production:
refined objects from materials that are considered 'coarse' in the common imaginary.

Sensitiveness towards natural, traditional, ecologic materials is reaching a wide public.
C L A Y A R T wants to bring the opposits together: art andmarket, design and production,
natural and artificial, scrap and resource, abstract and concrete needs.

Our workshop, toghether with ELASTICO, ELASTICO DISEGNO and the art of Cesario Carena,
recovers clay clods, semi-manufactured and discarted products, giving them intellectual and
physical support, with ideas and legs. Instead of discarting the mistakes of the machine,
we give them a chance of evolution, a survival possibility in the habitat of production,
of architecture and interior design, in order to enrich the species of 'terracotta'.
